Clinical Assistant

Mathew is a graduate of the Animal Care program at Sheridan College and a Fear Free Certified Professional (Level 2). Originally enrolled in a business program at York University, he discovered his true calling in animal care and hasn’t looked back since.

With over six years of hands-on experience in veterinary clinics across Brampton and Burlington—and additional volunteer work with local cat rescues—Mathew brings both compassion and skill to every patient interaction. Known around the clinic for his special bond with cats (especially the sassy ones), he takes pride in building positive, trust-based relationships with both pets and their families.

When he’s not at the clinic, Mathew enjoys reading fantasy novels, skateboarding, and playing video games. At home, he shares his life with two dogs—Chewie, a Shepherd mix, and Casper, an Akbash—and two cats: Persephone the tortie and Macy the tabby. His favorite animal? Owls.
